Since launching my face masks back in February, I have been asked time and time again how to wear a face mask.
So below are simple instructions which I have also complied a quick video.
Before putting on any mask, clean hands with alcohol-based hand rub or soap and water. Cover mouth and nose with mask and make sure there are no gaps between your face and the mask. Avoid touching the mask while using it; if you do, clean your hands with alcohol-based hand rub or soap and water. Replace the mask with a new one as soon as it is damp/after each task/use and do not re-use single-use masks.
To remove the mask: remove it from behind (do not touch the front of mask); discard immediately in a double bag until you are able to wash.
Clean hands with alcohol-based hand rub or soap and water after use and after placing mask in the washing machine.
When washing, wash at 40 degrees on a low spin.
Place in a clear sealed bag until mask required.
Please note:
These are NOT PPE masks and any Health Professionals in a health care setting are expected to follow their own training and policies and procedures on infection control and extra measures guidance surrounding COVID-19 outlined by the government.
